Shifting can be a chore on this pigs, if you want to do it smoothly. The wife has complained before when we're in town, and from traffic light to traffic light, they bike can be quite jerky. I've found that if you depress the clutch lever only slightly and swiftly, it's better. If you pull in the cluth lever too much, typically the engine braking (which is significant - big pistons?) make for a jerky ride. So, the quicker you can shift the better. I know some dogs have said they shift without the clutch. Mechanically, can this be justified?
