So I am slowing building my KTM 530 into a rally bike but without going over the top. Something I have been um-ing and ar-ing about is whether a cush hub is important on a bike like this and for what I intend on doing with it. I'm pretty sure I will be seeing some long fast stretches of either tar or dirt and wonder whether a cush hub will make much of a difference as well as prolong the life of my bike. I've read there is some sort of built in 'cush hub' in the clutch assembly but haven't been able to confirm this with KTM and that the 640 rear hub works on the 530 when put in reverse and should be kinda easy to get a hold of a secondhand one. What says all of you who have done the rally build thing before?
