RIP Brian, you were a biker through and through. Saw him the last time the day after the Rhino when a guy on a Zuk collided with him head-on in The Golden Gate pass. Will never forget that candy-apple red RT with the "Red Heart" number plate.

someone rides into the side of a bus and cracks a rib and breaks a hip
he has a some pain and everyone wishes him a speedy recovery
then we hear his organs are failing one by one
and he dies...

horrific how these things can so suddenly take a turn for the worse

To my good friend MR Bucc!!! RIP!

This is a sad day indeed, when one of the flamboyant figures of BMW biking and biking in general passes away. It is ironic that Brian being the flag holder for safety in biking be taken out by an unsafe bus driver. It is always sad when one loses a friend. We have all known Brian for a shorter and/or longer time depending on your time in the saddle and as a member of the Pretoria BMW club and Chairman of THINKBIKE. Brian will be missed - I don't think anybody will be able to take his place in the biking community.

To his family - our condolences and thoughts will be with you in this time. May you find the strength and peace to get through it.
