We started the dirt just after Montague , with me upfront.
While waiting the the team to re-group , I was told that camelman had hit one of those water crossings and that his KTM690 had broken the rear link on his swing arm.
Well done to Ktm Cape Town for sending a KTM van out to collect his 690 and drop him a Ktm 1190 demo to complete his EC Bash trip. Wow !
On the way up , we stayed just out of reach of the rain, heading for a black cloud and managed to get through a wet Seweweekspoort , with out being rained on.

Until 3km before Carlitzdorp , then the heavens opened and it rained and hailed.
I had to open my visor and ride with my hand partially over my face to stop the hail from hitting me in the face until we drove into the garage to refuel.
The storm took out the electricity in Carlitzdorp , so lunch at Die Dorphuise took too look too long.
The road that followed was absolutely awesome , wet with water running across the road .
Only a New BMW 1200 had an argument with some deep red mud and Knoemoer found out how quickely your rear wheel can overtake u.
Luckely , he limped away with a swollen anckel (Hope its not cracked)

This delay made us end up riding in the dark , only getting to De Rust, Backbackers at 20h30.
Where Henno Petzel and his parter were the perfect hosts and we partied into the night
The next morning we hit the road , through Meringspoort , and RH down that long fast dirt road to Willowmore for a hearty breakfast.
Then with a blink of an eye were we were at the bash , First bikes to arrive , for a change,
But not before , the slippery road into the bash , saw my Tenere take a short cut through the bushes ( without falling) and Camelmans , KTM1190 doind a quick breakdance
