CRF 230 Lighting Kit
« on: May 14, 2014, 10:01:14 am »
Gents

I have fitted a DRC lighting kit to my bike that works like a dream. The only pain is that it has a seperate battery box that takes 8 AA batteries . I want to know if any one has wired this system to there bikes battery and if so has there been any issues.

Suppliers instructions say I can't be done , but that does not mean it has not been done >:D

8 x AA batteries equals 12V so it must work on the bike battery as well. Offcourse as the bikes battery is charged it may go up to 14V but I'm sure the lights will be able to handle this.

CRF should have a loom to plug into.

Yes... Just find a positive that goes to the ignition key, and hook the power up on that. Did the same on mine, and it works like champion. :thumleft:

Tommy

Quick one. Do you still use the seperate on off switch for the lighting kit on you bike.
