After we voted on Wednesday, we left East London for Cradock. The idea was to show David my area when I was a child . . . .
It was Dutchman81's birthday, so we stopped at his place for a coffee and chocolate cake - thanks again Rocco. The thing with David and I is that we always change the route as we go and today was no exception. After Bedford we headed towards Klipfontein where my uncle was a teacher at a farm school for more than 25 years. From Klipfontein we headed towards Witmos, over the mountain to Cradock via Mortimer.
First of all I want to say that 99% of the photo's were taken by David and not by me.
The building that was the house and hostel for many kids years ago. You cannot see the school from where we are.
After Witmos we took this 2 spoor road to Mortimer.
