Hi i got a 2008 BMW 1200 ADV the other day... with 10500km on...
Why? i missed my XT 660 Tenere to go and explore the gravel roads.... did 47000km in 2 years...
I got a Bmw 650 X Challenge... perfect for Barrydale gravel roads but not to explore S.A. and beyond...
So how does the 1200
Compare to the 660 and 650 ???
You will be surprised...
Got the Oiltanker on a rainy day in the Strand had to go back to Barrydale via Sir Lowries Pass...
So up i go at 80 to a 100 and down with trucks behind me!
Scary to steer an Oiltanker compared to a X...
So i stop at Dassiesfontein and let everyone pass me
Left and start to test the bike by going left and right tru the white lines...
Hmm handles easy enough time to open up to 120...
Hmmm handles like a 660 and 650 with a bit of weight...
Very impressed the Oiltanker handles well...
So far but what about gravel and the big GS geen sand..???
