I've been steaming on my iPhone quite well over wifi. Walker is way ahead with around a 7min lead in front just gone through Carls Dinner. Wade Young was at 5th for a while but dropped off the top ten going up Machine.

Well done to Altus and the other South Africans!

Yah, that was weird, got the same message here now as well. I was lucky to watch the whole thing before they did that. I started watching it at 5pm RSA time so it only just turned itself off. You will probably have to buy the DVD now ;D

Yes, an excellent result. Only 500 started today though, 1000, did not make the qualifier.

Watching the footage it was very hard. Some of those hill climbs were seriously technical.

Awesome result for the Saffers although I think Wade would have expected a top 10 placing. Our lack of a solid trials background was apparent in Charls Dinner where a lot of the Europeans excelled.

I'm busy watching a rerun of the whole race at the moment, some of these new climbs this year are just insanely steep  :o

That dice for 9th & 10th place between the 2 yanks was proper exciting  :thumleft:

Johnny Walker was just in a different class all together this year, brilliant ride.

I will never forget watching him ride at the roof for the first time - riding god poetry in motion ... with his trials background just makes it all look effortless.  :ricky:

That's the frustrating thing for me: I watch the videos and look at the photos, get all pumped up and then I go and try and ride something similar and can hardly move after a wiping out five times in succession. :imaposer:

Pictures don't always give the sense of elevation, these ones (2nd 3rd and 4th) do so - :o
