Car rental and e-tolls.
« on: June 06, 2014, 02:12:02 pm »
How does it work if I go the Joburg and rent a car? Do the toll fees get added to my bill? And what if I don't want to pay e-tolls?

When you sign their agreement of lease of the vehicle you agree to pay all relevant fines/etolls/taxes etc.

What is worse is that they get the toll fees at the discounted rate for being good sheep, but they charge you, the hirer of the car the full, unregistered rate, and pocket the difference.  >:(
Nice little sideline income for them, worth millions.

mmm, then maybe its time for them to show you proof of invoice from Sanral...I am sure under the CPA, you are more then within your rights to request such documents.

Oh no, they admit it, they say it is their "admin fee"
I say if you get a rental car, throw the e-tag in the boot, let them pay the same as they charge you, and let them work for their "admin fee"
