Faulty heated grip

My right hand heated grip (throttle side) decided not to allow me the comfort anymore. I have stripped the grip and the heated element still measure continuity, also measure continuity from the black and brown wires on the element to the back of the main switch. I also know it is possible to measure continuity but if there is a weak place in the wire it will not allow full current to flow. Any advice on what else to test or to look for?
