Would you try and out run the cops?
« on: February 26, 2008, 03:33:01 pm »
A serious question that is perhaps best left unanswered (you know, the what you don't say cannot be used against you thingy  >:D),
but go and look at this incident.   Quite entertaining.

Biker fleeing from cops :D

I think, given the right circumstances, I would probably chance it...  >:D

I'd be sure to be riding ALONG with traffic though, or head off road ASAP!

My school buddie on his modified RZ50 once out ran the kaaswaens in the 90's. He had a KX60 modification on it. That thing farkedoff. The cops chased him due to not having a plate, eventually dropped about 3 waens.

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!! Classic LS.

I know a guy - rode away from a metro cheese on his new-ish KLR-sans-plate last week... I think if you get out of sight, you're away.  Unless there just happens to be a chopper circling above - then you're proper, PROPER Fu#ked

Dunno how true this is ,but some Superbikers i work with told me about these metro cops with Busa`s , might just be an urban legend in the SBK community not sure ,but i doubt if i`d be trying to outrun one of em.

Two year ago, I'm on my way to Bloem.

6.45 Am just before Glen, I'm sitting at about 180 km'h, out jumps the #$%^&* KK's and indicates for me to strop. Nada - they give chase, so I took the gravel road to Maselspoort - we used that road during map reading excersises in the army, never saw them of their highway patrol BMW.

On tar I wouldn't favor my chanses  ;D

In the 80's had a XR500R used to be a sport in my town to try and catch me, as I was in matric and no licence. Never got caught but many close shaves. Nowadays don't know, they shoot at you so unless i have a serious reason won't try it.

At least twice. The first time was on the N2 by the airpot in Cape Town on a K75. The poor guy was facing the wrong way and had no chance of catching me who was doing 190 at the time. I hid behind some taxis on the N7 off-ramp and then got off the N2 as quickly as possible. The last time was last year so I probably can't say that I won't do it again. Don't think they were trying very hard to catch me as I was on the AT.
