Timing-gate!

Will the ASO favour the hot young Spanish senorita and cut the stage before she dropped 7 minutes?

Tune-in after these messages from our sponsors: Saxa Salt, and Tug-along Trailers...

Screen shows that the Paveys are in!

Bugger, they changed the screen and removed the excess WP's so I misread it.

Sorry guys  :-[

I think the Pavey boys recorded this Dakar. I'm dead keen to buy the DVD if one comes out. Especially to see some of the bachground moans and groans that DSTVs little 22 minute segment won't show.
Oh when the Spurs, go marching in, oh when the Spurs go marching in, oh Lord I want to be in that number, oh when the Spurs go marching in.

The race stops at CP2!
It's raining cats and dogs right now, making the course extremely slippery and dangerous, so the organisers have decided to stop the motorcycle race at CP2, 101 km into today's special. Most riders have reached this point, with the top riders in the general classification further back.

My information from finish - its fantastic weather over here, no idea why they decided to stop the stage.
 :eek7: :eek7:
Not yet confirmed....

:lol8: :lol8: ...they can't risk the podium places now...

Congrats to all the privateers and small teams!!!  :thumleft: :thumleft:

Yep, me too. I'm more interested in the Dakar adventure than the Dakar race. There's been a couple good shows in the last few years about various participants and how they got there and the dramas they went through. Can't remember the names but that one with the aussie/italian was a good show as well as those ex-army dudes with missing legs. Even Charlie Boorman's attempt was a good show.

All way better than watching the pros slidng round corners for the helicoptor crew ..................... they're good but it gets a bit monotonous.

But besides that, a big thanks to AlanB and SteveD, as well as others for all the ongoing pics and info - you're hard work is appreciated.
Don't let fear hold you back ..... take it with you!
