After some idiot dropped some weldspatter (originally thought this was a ball bearing) and welding wire into my engine, I was forced to remove the engine for a rebuild.
After staring at the stripped bike for some time and a good few beers later I decided on a complete restoration and stripped the entire bike down to the last nuts and bolts.
This is what the bike looked like when I bought it. It had some serious gravel rash but was running sweet.
I then wanted to get rid of the gravel rash and applied a Dakar sticker kit.
The following pictures shows the first of the newly coated parts ready for assembly.
