The Whitehouse in Sutherland is open again. We have rooms available from R200 including breakfast. We also do lunch and dinner and we have a full bar on the premises. Anyone is welcome at any time. Hoop to see you soon.

We have rooms available from R200 including breakfast.

Is that rate per person or per room ?

It could be a huge difference........... ;)

Last time we were there we helped recover a Harley.  Great party atmosphere.
There is a door upstairs that opens onto the street below. But it has no landing or railing.

We stayed over at the Whitehouse on Saturday night and we really enjoyed it. The new owners are doing a great job and the place looks really neat!

Friendly reception, a warm fire and good food was just what we needed after a chilly day's riding.

Thanks Ian, we will deffinately be back!  :thumleft:

:thumleft: One of my last trips I ended up in front of semi closed door. Almost had a beer and in the end a room with no hot water. - kind of a disappointment and very glad for new ownership. It was just before 8 on a Thursday night, but the guy darem told me the place was for sale and that he was on his way to some other kuier.

Will drop in hopefully very soon.

Sounds like a nice option...

We are looking for accommodation in Sutherland for one night on 21 December 2014, on our trip down to Cape Town.

BUT...

only if someone can pull strings at the observatories for a tour on the Sunday.

Otherwise, in my opinion, there is no real reason to go.
