I have the same sound on mine, the frequency of the "ticks" changing with speed.
Mine started with this sound soon after I fitted new brake pads, the sintered type. I don't like sintered but it was all I could find at the time.
I am presuming this is the origin of the sound I hear.
Let's go into the mountains...there's likely to be peace and quiet

If it ticks once per wheel turn check for damage on the outside rim of the rotor. If there is a nick file it smooth.
Else (and if it's a high mileage bike with worn discs) check for a crack.

If you're referring to the whining noise when you apply brakes that's from the drilled disc - normal and yes it's getting worse if you use sintered.

I'd also check the disk mounting rivets.
