Hi Guys

Has anyone had BMW warantee issues with regards to fitting radiator guards on the lc? I popped into our local dealer and he was not keen to order guards for me due to warantee issues?  ???

To me it is a no brainer to install the guards...

Apparently there is warranty issues with BMW if you have fitted radiator guards.

This is true, you will forfeit the warranty on the radiators if you fit radiator guards. Something to do with possible air flow obstruction....

Well I have radiator guards on my bike and had a warranty claim on the radiator fan. No problems with BMW at all.  And that was at two different dealers too.  Both had nothing to say about the guards.

That came out the wrong way. 1 warranty claim but same problem came up twice.
First time they cleared the fault in PE and then I had the fault again when I got to Cape Town. Donford then replaced the fan.

Why forfeit warranty on the radiators?  The guards, even if it does obstruct airflow, it cannot harm the radiators.

I have seen BMW dealers selling and fitting radiator guards.  No way they can then step back from any warranty claim.
