C-Spanner Question

Does anybody know what size C-spanner (hook spanner) I would need to adjust the preload on my 2007 TE450 rear shock?

And where would I get such a spanner?

It looks like the previous adjustments was made with the screwdriver/hammer method. I want to avoid that if possible, as it damages the adjustment "rings" quite badly.

I dont know what size it is, but I got mine from climbing turtle on the forum, will measure my shock dia and let you know, maybe work from there. 8)

I pulled the "Cam ring" and the "C" spanner, if you measure the ring at the largest points as in the pic it gives you the spanner size, this one is a 55, so measure yours and your tool shop can get you the right spanner, if you dont have a vernier, measure the circumference at the highest points then divide it by 3.15 and you have the diameter.

Standards apear to be:

HN7 covers 52mm to 55mm diameter

HN8-9 covers 58mm to 65mm diameter
 
HN10-11 covers 68mm to 75mm diameter
