Hi fellow WD`s. Been yesterday to one of our contractors` premises. Shaw this old Honda XR500 covered in dust in his workshop. Believe it is still running, not sure if it is on the road or any papers for it. Wondering whether it is indeed a 500 , what year model or mileage done? My guess would be an early 80`s model. The 500cc motor appears smaller than I would have thought. (I owned a XR200 years ago, hence the comparison and the soft spot for these machines.)
I am considering making the owner an offer, but I do not want to offend him. What would be a good starting point in Rand terms? My idea is keep the bike and play with it a bit in the dirt only.
