Rider "sag" on 2014 690 Enduro R?

On page 68 to 71 of the 2014 690's manual it does contemplate that rider "sag" needs to be adjusted - I know on my 300 dirt bike this did need to be set for my body weight when I bought the bike, but one of the guys I spoke to at RAD advised me that because the 690 is intended to be carried with a pillion static sag does not need to be set and the factory setting is fine. Does anyone maybe have any advice on this?
