I've been in contact with Tom since Saturday when I first heard the news.

He's doing ok, but I know just how much he is hurting, my dad died two years ago and I was in the USA and couldn't be there. With Covid there is just no way Tom can get home either.

He will "attend" the funeral on Thursday at 10am SA time, that is 3am local time, thanks to the wonders of modern technology. But it's still not the same

Tom, my dear friend, I know it's so, so difficult. But just hang in there. It does get a little easier, with time. Trust me my brother

Thank you all for the kind words.

I am taking a break currently, have a lot to deal with and spend a lot of time at work but owe it to you as my friends to atleast check in and say thanks from the heart.
