Rodlau you have made a good point

I will update as soon as I had some time again to go out with the field workers on a trip. I have been rather busy with reports and had to do some fault finding on one of our generators as well as a cold room. Things can easily or rather quickly change here and some lazy days can quickly be changed and filled with a bit of drama with regards to maintenance work.
We are also expecting the Edinburgh (ship) here in a weeks time with a few guests from Tristan da Cunha Island. They are comming to assist us with the satellite communication system, and to also do a bit of their own research and also delivering some parts for us so that we can get that generator up and running again. We only have 3 generators, 2 x 120kva and 1 x 150kva backup unit. Not good if you need to make use of a backup unit so early into the expedition but we will get it sorted.
Once the 'dust settles' I will update again with a bit more info on the island and nice 'fresh' photos!
