I arrived safely at home.
Not really fatigued or suffering from "iron butt sindrome", because I do a lot of cycling and have a but as hard as steel.
I do suffer from something that I might call "throttle fatigue sindrome!"
My right hand is a so numb, that my fingers are totally useless. I'm able to just pick up a glass, but I cant even use a knife to cut a piece of meat, that I had for a late lunch.
I'm sure I will be OK in the morning.
Trailrider, thanks for the accomodation and friendship on Friday night.
The 7 passes ride was awesome and will stay with me forever.
( I will be back for more adventures in the Southern Cape soon......

)
Your in-ride pictures made me look really glamorous.............and it started a trend, cause Uiltjie had to get in on the act too.
Watty thanks for the sourcing of this bike and the organizing of the whole deal.
Much appreciated........your input was great.

Watty, I just made a joke.............I promise you, I'm not angry about the captions on the photos. It was great and added a lot of humour to this thread.
Your a star!!

Bliknêrs thank for you accommodation and friendship on Saturday evening.
The ride from Heidelberg to Swellendam on the "alternative route" was also awesome.
I was always wondering about that route, but no I'm not wondering any more........been there, done that!

Uiltjie....thanks for meeting me outside Caledon. That coffee and cappuccinos was way quite OK for a countryside town. The ride along was just the best.
Your in-ride shots made me look like a superstar !!

While me and Uiltjie had breakfast.....we also had some visitors from the area that made a hostile attack on the coffee shop

I took the backroads from Caledon and came home via Theewaterskloof dam and the Franschhoek pass.

The total amount travelled was 865 kilometers.
Enough kilometers to make me realized that the bike was a good buy and was mechanically sound.
I did a lot of research and talked to a lot of people......and I thought that this bike is exactly what will fullfill my needs.....(that is the theory!)
Today I know I made the correct choice and that this bike fulfilled all my preconceived ideas! ( this is practise!)
So in theory and practice I'm happy.

At first I felt a bit intimidated by the little beast, because I was out of practice, but today I can say we have found each other....
Sorry Jacko, but this is a Mine-me moment............ This bike is my Mini-me!
It completes me !

Superjuice....... thanks for the jacket!
(Why do I thank you? ............I had to pay you for it!!! ..........It was not a pay-kit-forward-gesture!!

It was tested in extreme conditions on this trip.
It was not a bad buy and I am a satisfied customer.........
(any other stuff you wanna sell ?

One of my favourite moments on this trip was the view me and Bliknêrs had when we saw this picture.
Unfornately we only had cellphone cameras... but the view made the detour all worthwhile. This moment was the best view of the whole trip. Beautiful !!
