BOSVARK radios now available at the Flying Brick Store...
« on: September 15, 2014, 04:16:30 pm »
Hi Amageza-ite's (and ROOFies!)

the popular BOSVARK radio is now stocked at the Flying Brick Store, R999 inclusive.

Needs no licence, is at the upper end of what's legal WITHOUT an annual licence:
128 channels
1200mA
5 Watt power output
emergency alarm/night lighting function
Lithium-Ion battery
rapid desktop charger
12v car/bike charger
Built in FM radio.
Detailed AFRIKAANS and English instructions - now THAT'S useful!

Cheers

Guys if you ever wanted to buy one of the none-licensed radios, this is the radio you want to buy. I use them on the farm and their performance is exceptional. I have the magnetic aerial on a bakkie and the others have their own aerials and have spoken with my workers over a distance of 48km. Granted, the terrain was favorable, but still...

Buy one, you'll see.

We use these when we go camping in Botswana, they are great.  The only struggle I had was to charge from a 12 V point.
