Ok - well we have to work on Saturday so if anybody out there wishes to come with us on Sunday, give me a shout otherwise Mark and I will jsut do the lovey dovey thing.....

Mark ,bring your bike.I found a way of fixing those ktm front rims and yours has at least 6 bend in the front wheel alone,Takes 20 minutes and a 6 pack of heinikens(ha,ha.)

Cool see you in 2 weeks time, I'll be away for 2 weeks up the west coast working. Taking the bike and hope to do some exploring/riding.

oh is take 20 min + 6 pack per bent.....eish that could take the whole day and you will need help drinking all the beer, I'll help with the beer part.  >:D ;D

Whats with the KTm's overheating? Is this a old non fixed problem, did any of the other bikes overheat?

out of the bunch of you guys who went on the trip, who was the best in the sand?

No, I don't think it is an ongoing problem, it was only XXX's bike that was over heating. My 649 Adventure never went over 4 bars on the heat gauge. It is hard to say who was the best rider as we were all on different size bikes. The 990's are a lot more difficult to ride in the sand than the 640 or the 625. All the guys handled their bikes very well and were more than capable in the very soft sand.

Thats weird, yes i have the starlet, but i also have all the documentation , so i have no idea, where you heard i did not have papers :)

Whew!!! gthat looks like a mean ride I think I would have been in serious competition with Camelman :o

BTW I dont think XXX has had time to check this out yet but XT660R I think that he lost his "duckfeet" on the Desert Run in the Kalahari trying to catch some woman who is totally NUTS ;D ;D
