They had a relay team pushing it to start it, 20minutes later they did return
Tappet did not even tell him that we must build a fire or any thing like related to it.

A few random photies on the ride back to Opuwa

Reach Opuwa in one peace and refuel the bikes, I had one l lt left in the tank

We have burgers for lunch, home made patties, think it was goat meat they used, but it still tasted dam fine.

An uneventful ride, we were just admiring the beauty and the scenery of the place

As hot as hell so we stopped to refuel our self with a cold one

Went threw a nice little pass

Further on route, one is reminded as to how small one is in this vast expanse of nature.

We reach Sesfontein

We fill up the bikes

We reach our goal for the day.

The road was long and dusty so we wash away the dust with a cold one or two

Yippee its supper time. And we get offered to share there catch of the day with them for the ( meer) contribution of  240.00 Dollars a head. A lot of deliberation and we accept.

In general Fort Sesfontein, a nice place to sleep over, but over priced. Accommodation @R1000.00 Per person R240.00 per meal

Definitely some respect for Tappet as I think he has not done this "level" of adventure biking before and he
seem to have carried himself well  :thumleft:

His actually a good guy Sub does his part and rode well, actually glad that the Ktm gooied him off as it taught him a valuable lesson, shit happens when you least expect it

You must say he is a good guy - he married your daughter, so you are stuck with him.

BTW - the offer stands for that bend up orange. :peepwall:

Monday 1st   Day 11   Fort Sesfontein – Aabadi Mountain Camp (270 Km)

Early up to catch the sun rise. I know you ous dig these photos so here are some

We have a quick breakfast and then we take to the road

We pull of for a cold one

Tappet hijacks a donkey car. But he struggled to get it started (Ok truth be told he wanted to swap the Ktm for it but they just laughed at him)

So we go and play some more on the roads

Stop for another aah!! ? smoke break Ian goes and “verkens” the joint to see if there any green ”mannekies” around

And then forwards we go, to explore this final frontier , ok ok we just went forward

We see some domestic animals along the way

We have decided to go and check out Groot Berg Lodge. The road up starts at a 30degee slope and then flattens out and as you round the next bend the angle is about 50 degrees of a s-bend to the top. Takes a bit of skill to get to the top. 1st gear lean over the handle bars and just go.

The view on top is amazing.

I have a few pain pills as the rocky section just past the last section has taken its toll on my knee once again.

We decide to have lunch there, relax and a few cold ones

The ride down was pure agony on my part as my knee was not taking kindly to the abuse, but we made it down

The ride continues with much more splendid roads and scenery

We reach Abadi Mountain Camp site

We go up too the bar tent and proceed to have quite a few cold ones

Later on we had a magic feast and then it was time to hit the zzz land
Huh Tappet let ripped tonight, I think he started his own lumber yard.

Tuesday 2nd   day 12   Aabadi Mountain Campsite - Uis    (140Km)

Now if this was fairy land we would of woken up with a shit hose full of lumber, compliments of Tappet.

Our generous host had organized us breakfast.

Me and Ian had a “lekker” chow whilst we could hear Tappet digging holes with his Ktm as he went exploring down by the river bed. Finally he returns, so we “kak” him out and tune him to “sluk boetie” its time to go.

We retrace our steps and take a ride to go and check this out

The road was a bit shitty, lotsa corrugations, but we hardened bikers, we are WD, we moerse strong ous, we are the Dinosaurs and a junior Tappet Dinosaur so we push on

We get to Twyfelfontein.

We take photos of the handsome Dinosaurs  to show you ous we were there and no we did scratch these pics on the rocks, somebody els done it

I don't understand why  oke's are using photobucket and other storage sites. Why not just post the pics straight from your PC onto WD's ?
