T9ER Amageza (adventure of a lifetime) entry for sale - injured
« on: September 20, 2014, 07:58:33 am »
Howzit guys, this is one of those things that I really don't want to sell but unfortunately after my crash with the cow at Pongola there has been further complications and another operation and going to take about 3-6 months to recover so Amageza 2014 is out for me. (By the way the court of inquiry found the cow at fault. My pipe was found to be sufficiently loud to offer ample notice of my approach and thus right of way.)

After speaking to Alex it is naturally too late for a refund, that I feel is quite fair, but he has said that he would be happy for me to sell my entry and he would transfer it to another rider. I was down for Malle Moto with Transport for trunks and wheels as well as camping and the meal package. I paid it all as soon as entries opened so I can't remember exactly how much it all was now but will look it up and post the price. Naturally you don't have to ride Malle Moto and you can buy the entry without all the extras.

Thanks

Sorry to hear of the knock on Joey - I wish you a full recovery. :thumleft:

Nice angling there Kamanya - Do you think the foreigners are ready for Africa?  :ricky:

Love it, Kamanya you legend.
There a 2 guys that have inquired so hopeful it will go soon. If it doesn't happen soon I'm tempted to offer it to perhaps an overseas guy complete with my bike and all organised as a complete package. Was also thinking as maybe a trade for the same deal at another rally maybe toureg or abu dhabi. I guess it could be Malle moto or I could organise support. Some guy comes over and uses my bike at Amageza then I go over and use their bike. Maybe even Baja or Vegas to Reno. Just a crazy idea but if I found the right guy it might just work.

Glen McDonald from Natal. 52 years young if I'm not mistaken, done the roof a few times and some WFO's and rides almost every weekend. Rides a 690 and seems to have a good marathon mindset, I think he will do well. Told him to try hook up with Bonovo for some good advice and stuff. Enjoy boys.

If that's the same Glen I rode with earlier this year at the 1000 hills rally, there's gonna be a LOT of surprised riders out there  - that boy can peddle  :thumleft:
