Thanks.  I don't know what to say but I am just fortunate to be where I am at the moment with both bike and opportunity.

Nevertheless, I did a week long tour and did some passes in the Alps.  Embarrassingly, all on perfectly paved roads, mostly in Switzerland.  I am not even sure if the Wilddogs' constitution allows for trip reports which are not on gravel or accompanied by some life threatening circumstance or situation.  Unfortunately I cannot claim any of those.  But I will share some pictures.  Please tell if it becomes boring.

None of the passes I did were outright dangerous.  Most actually presented relaxed, easy riding but the surroundings provided breath taking vistas accompanied by gorgeous weather.  And I did enough switchbacks to last me a lifetime.  In total I did 11 passes, some more interesting than others.  The picture below was taken on my way to Innertkirchen.

First day in Switzerland I did the Susten pass.  It is a nice longish route with very nice scenery and many places to stop.  Mindful of the fact that I may never again pass that way, I took my time. ALL the other bikers passed me, some shaking their heads  ::)  ;D
