If, in a year or so, you get that itch for a new bike again, rather fly over, rent a bike and you can do plenty of passes in 5 to 7 days. It will be a break from winter too (not that you need that living in the Lowfeld, but still...).

It's a dream I hope will come true in the near future......

Matjiesfontein is a nice place to visit. I had a colleague who had a restaurant there some years ago but then she moved to Laingsburg with the same concept. Nice pictures, Meurig. I wish we could develop and market more of our small towns the same way they do here in Europe. It could be so positive...

I think if the planning a ride section was split into regions, it would help that but currently I find it difficult to navigate

BLK, it was ok on this bit but not comfortable on loose gravel and sand. I'm not familiar with the Karoo 3, never had it on a bike
