After my Anakee 3s were worn out, fitted TKC80 front & Karoo 3 on the rear. After about 3000 km on the Karoo I thought I would have to replace it in Bloemfontein at the Eco challenge, but I was told it wears quickly up to 3000 km- then the wear rate reduces. Drove back to PE- speads up to 210 km/with 2 BMW panniers- bike quite stable. I could not get a replacement tyre prior to our 2500 km trip to Tankwa Karoo- thought punctures were inevitable! Got back without any- at least 1/3 was on gravel! According to wear level indicators there are still some kms. left. We had no wet roads- gravel or tar so I have no experience with the Karoo 3s in the wet. Any experienceo with the tyre's performance in the condition it is in now I.e. wear level indicators say it can still be used?
