It is time that we invested in our Dual Purpose Women Riders and enable them to confidently enter and participate, in more local and international Dual Purpose Events!
During an ADA instructor’s conference earlier this year, the notion of giving back the community was highlighted. A Dual Purpose Women Development Programme was selected as the initiative of choice. Initial research validated the need. The programme is aimed at developing a select group of women riders over a period of eight (8) months, covering a broad variety of skills and competencies, amongst these being dual purpose off-road and on-road riding skills and techniques, touring/traveling, maintenance, personal mastery, and teamwork skills.
The programme will be officially launched on 29 November 2014 at ADA Training and Outdoor Centre near Hartbeespoort Dam. Invitations are currently being processed. At the launch, the invitees will be briefed on what will be required of them to become part of this exciting programme, giving the ladies ample time to prepare for selections in January 2015. It is here at the selections that spectators can come and have a look at the girls efforts to become part of the programme.
After the launch, more details around the programme will be announced. We are really excited about the positive responses and commitments we have received to date from both candidates and potential partners!
