I had not yet heard of Wild Dogs in 1979.  And in 2013 I did the ride with my son.

Amsterdam, I have passed on your suggestions for a slight modification to the manufacturer of the 690 & 701 rear pannier rack, as regarding a built-in fuel mount, strong/low/flat, etc, and will keep you in the loop - thanks for your suggestions, we DO pass them on!  :thumleft:
