These pictures are of the last time I used a tent. I did not pitch it. Too much effort after a long, hard day of riding. Here I just spread the tent out on the ground and slept on top of it. Was dark already. Only the next morning I noticed the zillions of spiders who also had made their homes amongst the leaves on the ground. We made good bedfellows. The next time I took a hammock with. Much easier to ‘erect’ and more comfortable.

You seem to be quite a character from the few posts I've run into  :laughing4: Just love these camping pics.

St Martin's Mission, Lesotho. The black mud en route to Katse was a handful. Friendly locals. Just love Lesotho.

Your pictures remind me of this poem by Robert Louis Stevenson:

The Vagabond

Give to me the life I love,
Let the lave go by me,
Give the jolly heaven above
And the byway night me.
Bed in the bush with stars to see,
Bread I dip in the river --
There's the life for a man like me,
There's the life for ever.

Let the blow fall soon or late,
Let what will be o'er me;
Give the face of earth around
And the road before me.
Wealth I seek not, hope nor love,
Nor a friend to know me;
All I seek, the heaven above
And the road below me.

Or let autumn fall on me
Where afield I linger,
Silencing the bird on tree,
Biting the blue finger;
White as meal the frosty field --
Warm the fireside haven --
Not to autumn will I yield,
Not to winter even!

Got it like that. Originally it had spot lights attached to it and I guess it stabilized the KTM front fender at high speed but I didn't really need any if that. It was made by the same person that did the subframe braces.

Would that be the campsite in the middle of town? I liked Bulawayo, wonder how it looks like these days?

You are right. Not far from Milton High School. Some of the most beautiful street lanes in the world I had the pleasure I meandering through there.
