Bike - KTM 1290R - we have a love hate relationship
Tent - Snugpack Scorpion 3 - 2 person - 4 season Expedition tent - 2 tent design - outer fly first setup independently of the inner tent for weatherproof protection while allowing airflow on warm nights. Inner mesh tent clips to the outer tent for insect proof protection. I have yet to own a tent this stable in high winds. https://www.snugpak.com/outdoor/scorpion-3 https://www.amazon.com/Snugpak-Scorpion-3-Tent-Olive/dp/B003U9853C
Cooler - Pelican SC24 - too expensive but the best most well built soft cooler I've ever owned. Tough and sturdy Ti-Zip zipper. I dragged mine for 2 miles down a gravel road before I heard it, 1 strap was towing her along
No damage whatsoever, these coolers appear indestructible, probably bomb proof. https://www.pelican.com/us/en/product/coolers/soft-cooler/sc24

Wow! What a spot! Thank you for sharing.
You're very welcome, Miss Sardine.

South Mineral Campground is located just a few klicks out of a historical mining town named Silverton, in the beautiful state, well, the west half anyway, of Colorado.
Tons of dual sport and jeep trails that connect Alpine ski towns such as Telluride and Ouray, all in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

Hint - camping is free and legal between the river and access road to South Mineral Campground, you do NOT need a permit.

South Mineral charged me $30-$35 per night for 5 nights and it's a rustic campground, meaning no hot water, electricity, or showering facilities.
I found out at the cafe in Silverton, the morning I was LEAVING, that camping was FREE between access road and river

Don't worry about anyone bothering you, you're safe, well, unless you have any kind of food in your tent with ya, I'm certain with your intelligence you know better than that in bear country!
See my upcoming RR of my trip out west, if you please, including a couple weeks in Colorado, funny story about a camper that forgot about leaving a teenie weenie bit of food in the wrong place
