The Extreme 1k Zoom head light has the widest flood mode that we have come across in a zoom type light. In flood mode the beam is smooth and uniform, which is ideal for illuminating the first 10m ahead of you. As with most zoom lights it is not very efficient with concentrating light, but it does provide a more focused beam than fixed reflector type lights. The Extreme 1k Zoom is equipped with the latest Cree XM-L2 U2 LED. The new LED makes strides in high lumen output and efficiency. The XM-L2 LED is the best performing, commercially available, single-die LED. It delivers up to 20% more lumens and lumens-per-watt than its predecessor, the XM-L.
Equipped with two high quality rechargeable Li-ion batteries that boast 55% more capacity than standard Li-ion cells. The impressive 3400 mAh cells ensures incredible runtimes. These batteries have an expected lifespan of over 3 years.
The headlamp’s zoom function enables one to change the beam from a sharp bright focused beam to a wide flood.
The ergonomic design allows for a comfortably fit and balances the weight on one’s head, allowing hands free operation in active sports.
