Excluding bike, what would a realistic budget be for Amageza?

Entry, spares?

I would like to be well prepared and start as soon as possible?

I am hooked. In 2015, I will be there come hell or high-water.
This year I had planned to have my bike completed way before the event, only kinda finished a week before with no RB time on the bike.
Advice for the new guys. Start early on your equipment orders, bike and fitness. Also make time to test all systems as well as some sort of RB training ride.
Most important, get fit, learn to ride your bike in sand and rocky terrain while navigating using a road book, prep well, and ENJOY THE RIDE.

Not having a single female rider this year was disappointing. Next year, come along, and bring some friends  :thumleft:

Hi

Can you tell us more about this, I'm very interested in this alternative.

How did you protect the iPhone from dust vibration, rain etc?

How did you power the iPhone?

What app was it?

Could you see it clearly in sunlight etc etc.

I would have thought that dust, vibration etec are not good for something delicate like an iPhone?

Is this the truth or only speculation, race moved from Nov to Sept and increased to 7 racing stages?

RallyBlitz is the app.  It isn't available for Android yet (since I think it would be a lot less risky to run it on some cheap Androids instead of R 10k+ iPhones) so I'm thinking of cloning it ::)

The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.

I'm hoping it's not those dates, that conflicts with WCOC double header at Koue Bokkeveld. If it's MSA sanctioned then I don't think they'll allow the conflict.

OK thanks, will wait to see about the dates then. It will also be quite leave-intensive if there are 7 racing stages - total of 12 days or so including travelling, scrutineering day, prologue day, and racing stages - I am going to have to put my bid in for that way early...

If it's September I'll have to wait another year to be a spectator as well since the ship will only be in CT around 15 Oct 15 from Gough...pity but ok, then I'll follow on the net again  :thumleft:
