We have what seems to be a "blue light" SAPD Warrant Officer So-and-so form Pta who is stationed at PSS (Presidential Security Services....) staying over with us who has to appear in the local court today for reckless driving.
According to him he was travelling on the R62 from Oudtshoorn when he had a stomach problem and had to stop urgently but could not do so due to there being no space to pull over on the left shoulder of the road so he crossed a white line section to stop on the right side of the road where he could. At that point a biker approached from ahead and although the WO tried to avoid an accident the biker was travelling too fast and got clipped by the left rear of the van they were travelling in.
Apparently the biker suffered broken ribs "but it was not so bad"....
Was this by any chance one of us or do you know who the biker was?
Would love to hear his/her side of the story.
