After a few weeks of preparing and setting out routes for a Botswana trip and alternative route's in case of bad weather or any unforeseen calamity that may or may not happen ::) The Day had arrived and on the 28th of March five WD's set out from Pretoria on a journey not knowing what awaited them ;D. The group consisted of. Splash, Ktmmer, Malgat myself and Hastalavista. Now known as the " Man van Staal" due to the steel plate he had inserted and screwed into the bone of his right arm to keep it together after buying a Farm just after Rankins pass on the road to Ellisras. Well that is another story and i will leave that up to him to explain all athe highs and low's of his shortened Botswana trip :( Spoke to him and he seemed in very good spirit and positive :). Here are some of the first sections of road we encountered with some mud where Ktmmer and Splash found out side panniers can make a difference to the width of your bike. Stopped and they sorted that one out. Moving through some sand Ktmmer-Splash-Hastalavista.
