I have invested in a 2007 KTM 525 XC-W to build a rally bike for Amageza 2015 and beyond.
The bike is geared standard with a 14 / 48 sprocket combo giving a ratio of 3,42:1
What do the experts out there recommend I should change gearing to ? or should I leave it standard ?
I have been thinking of lengthening the gearing to 14 / 45 combo = 3,21:1
Will the bike have enough grunt to pull this gearing and still achieve a decent top end for the flat out bits on the rallies ?
