We should get together for a spin then, on Monday. GSA is faster on tight stuff, it's lighter and has shorter wheel base but I find that K1600 doesn't twitch as much. Doing Skoemanskloof, K1600 absolutely kills GS/GSA/RT.

It was at Swartkops, BMW dealer track day. No overtaking on the inside or "racing"allowed. It was my test ride, I ride superbikes or sports/touring bikes normally although I have LC GSA now and still not sure if it's the right bike for me. Panigale rider is my mate Ricky. Idea was to make a video of him riding...if one is paying attention to the video you can see many instances where I closed off the throttle and even braked, waiting for him to bring the bike back. So we were basically playing around, idea was to get as much video as possible with him being on my right hand side because this is the spot where camera was mounted. Regarding lines, I think posters above know very little about Swartkops, specially table top part, where you have to do late apex to set yourself up for the left hander. Our pace was 5 seconds off regional back pack, on stock tyres and in my case touring jacket and gloves. For couch commentators, I would like to offer and invite to next track day in February, so they can demonstrate their pace and lines.

Vatso! I could see you short shifting on corners where its really not necessary at all! I've never been on that track on a bike, but had done about 200 laps with various vehicles around there. What seems the perfect line from an outsider's point of view is certainly not the fastest. Keeping momentum on that track is vital! Nice footage bud! Would like to put my LC trough its paces on that!!!

I didn't have a single off, track or road for 25 years, doing hundreds  of thousand kilometers. Dropped GSA twice in two weeks, once in the mud, other time in the sand. No injuries to me or bike, but don't like this falling off business.

Cheers Ouman, bike and car lines are somewhat different, 2 wheels don't have as much traction as 4 :-). Exactly - I was going gear up as there was no reason to accelerate harder, well spotted !
