I mounted similar spots on my 800, worked a charm, so the lights should be great.

As for mounting points: On my '13 GS I fitted the Touratech upper bars and mounted the OEM spots on that. This was much better (IMHO) than the plastic thingy under the beak...
Like this:

The GSA comes with mounting points low down as standard. But I've seen a couple of pics where some mount spots on top of the little horizontal bar next to the upper mount.

Good luck and let us know what you do
Cheers

I've seen them fitted with specially manufactured bush to crashbar. Don't like the positioning much....

I've got the same spots. I mounted them on the lower crash bars using DG Clamps. Because they are so low down they dont blind oncoming cars so I can even use them at night. Also because of the wide distance between the two spotlights and the daylight running light they are more noticeable.

Ok, we sell/supply the following clamps (no pics until Monday, though, using iPad at home...)

We have a Billet-aluminium clamp set (left and right clamp) that comes with 5 sets of black spacers, which fit UNDER the ALU clamp, protecting the bar the clamps are fitted to, and these spacers allow the clamps to fit a VARIETY of bar-sizes...

They allow the light to sit at any angle, since the extension to the bracket rotates through 300-odd degrees.

They are approx R695 per set, and available in Siver, Black or Chrome (in case you have a Harley!)

Then we sell BUTTERFLY BRACKETS; stainless steel, need ONE hole drilling per side, but the design / shape of the bracket reinforces the now-drilled crashbar...
(I think we are out-of-stock; will need to check...)

Then we have dedicated brackets for pre- and post- facelift 1200 BM's, and pre- and post- facelift for the 650/700/800 Twins, too.

Cheers

I'll post pictures tomorrow. I had them lying around the hangar but they are very commonly used in aerospace and hydraulic applications to secure pipes and wiring bundles to structures. They are also referred to as Adel clamps and quite cheap (about $1.00)

These have been on my LC for +36 000 km. The lights are good but not water resistant - you need to seal them everywhere with RTV

RTV silicone - like this?
BoosterPlug, LED Spots, Tool Tubes, RustStop, Kappa Screens, Top boxes, Tank Bags, ATG Gear - whatever works for me.

The Black would most probably be the best RTV solution.
