New 690 KTM SA Dealer information page
« on: April 07, 2008, 11:33:47 pm »
This page was send to KTM dealers for the launch of the 690 Enduro. Courtesy Wildcoats KTM in East london.  :thumleft:

A test ride will have to confirm, but in all it looks like a great bike and platform for the 690 Adventure. It makes for interesting reading.

As posted by me elsewhere, just spoke to my dealer - He says price will be about R 95 000!!!!!! I was really keen untill i heard that. Blamed R/E etc, etc.
But the bike looks awesome. I remember a conversation I had with a wealthy friend discussing bikes and buying a new one. I commented that I did not want to sell the 990. He said, 'Well then just have two.'
Maybe it's just a mindset thing.
It's a friggin' motorcycle, it's not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The windnoise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you scared every now and then. Suck it up. -- Scary Gary Mc

I think part of the longer lead to develop and ADV, may be the underseat tank arrangement.

2 x DR650SE = R 96000

1 x KTM690 = R 95000

1 x KTM690 = R 95000 + divorce lawyer =  :o

I think I rather stick to my Suzuki  ;D

Aaaaag Lecap, why must you always press the cheapskate way, the DR is a rubbish bike, does not matter how cheap they sell them. >:D

You can also buy 6 bicycles for the price of a DR, why not go for that option?

Hmmm... those food pegs should come in handy  ::)
The three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40 and a hammer.  If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.  If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40.  Otherwise use the hammer.
