All sidecar rigs I have seen come from starting with a motorcycle and adding a body + wheel onto the side.
Has anybody ever taken the route of an asymmetrical TRIKE ?
You start with a rear end of a car/bakkie and add a FRONT on one side only.
Having the drive onto two rear wheels will give better traction,
and the alignment of the front wheel can be adjusted for the rig to run true.
For tarmac use, a trike is great, but once you get into "tweespoor" and "middelmannetjie" stuff,
then a sidecar is the answer.
