Waterberg two day route
« on: January 20, 2015, 04:34:57 pm »

I am looking at doing a weekend trip (Friday to Sunday) through the Waterberg area and I am looking for good routes to use.

Has anyone done a trip here and can you share route details and waypoints etc. Also looking for accommodation suggestions

The best is to speak to Orangeswifty.  He often rides in that part of the woods.
Another guy to ask is Duster.  He stays in Naboomspruit.

Search Road Reports and put in the Keyword WATERBERG and you will get a few with info on

We did a ride late last year

When do you want to go?  I stay in Polokwane and can also show you around.  Ride there often too

I have traveled the Waterberg extensively.  Good routes in my book are bad roads.  There are a few to take.  You can easily do the Waterberg in a weekend and only see a small part.  In the west Kransberg around Marakele and the area south and east of Ellisras, in the centre the area around Vaalwater, in the east Sterkrivier, in the South the area north and west of Warmbad.  Then Marken and Moepel.  Many places and many roads.  I have written a few reports search my name and sterkrivier/waterberg.  You will find a number

En sand bly koning hier in die Waterberg omgewing, wees maar voorbereid op dit.
