Little bit of background:
Was drooling over Adventure bikes for probably 3years!! Finally took the plunge just after my parting with the wife from hell and bought a new F800Gs Triple Black, had her for just over two years. Absolutely Great!!
Then boy meets girl and ......................... sold her
She was staying at that time in Cape Town and I in Mossel Bay. Someone had to make a move, so she came up. Not having work yet and me supporting us both overheads was cut so the bike went...............
But not to worry was the best decision of my life. She is a perfect lady for me. And i could always get another bike, but a lady like her you don't get around every corner.
Almost a year later and i just could not bear not having a bike anymore, so I bought a xt660z. Never rode one and my first single. I Just could not get to the BMW's prices at that time. Bike was transported to me from Joburg and when i rode it for about 15min i new this is not going to do it!! Not a single sillinder guy, i believe you ether love it or hate it, popping was driving me crazy!!
That brings me to the present, sold my Yami to the first person that came a looking (3months later) and the hunt was on for my 1200. (When i had the 800 the upgrade was imminent ;D)
Well got a perfect one for me at Donford Cpt, already sorted with all the stuff i want, bike is been transported Tuesday to M/bay!!
I cannot sleep at night, i shit you not!!
Looking Forward to being back in the BMW family!!!
