Visas
« on: February 03, 2015, 11:49:47 am »
Hi guys  :)

We will be doing Cape to Cairo later this year and I’m now in the process of finding out the millions of details for the visas and other papers.
I’m new to that kind of stuff so I’m learning as I go on.

I am checking out the visa details but I am getting conflicting information between the embassy websites and visa agencies.  ??? !!
I also looked at the “Travelling in Africa Documents, papers and Carne de passage.” Section on the forum.

I am hoping some of you can set the record straight or point me in the right direction.

We need visas for:
Uganda
Ethiopia
Sudan
Egypt

(and possibly Djibouti.)

I need to find out how long the different visas are valid for- and how long you can stay? Sounds simple enough- unless you’re getting conflicting facts of course.

Thanks !!

Uganda, not sure.  All the others yes. I think you now have to apply for ethiopia in SA, they dont issue it in kenya anymore. We travelled north to south and needed visas for all countries. You need a letter of introduction for Sudan,  we got this from the SA embassy in Egypt.
