I have a 2014 KTM 1190 adventure and I absolutely love the bike, the power, the handling, the ride, the reliability, the weight ... it's really a great adventure bike and it's dual purpose capabilities are outstanding. Ride the freeway at +250 km's and then onto the dirt without any effort. Easy left thumb changing of driving modes makes this bike a breeze.
On Sunday I was invited to the launch of the new Triumph Tiger XC 800 ... wow, very nice bike to ride, light, handles well and has great power distribution for an 800 cc.
Would I swap my KTM for the Tiger? No ways ... but the triumph is a really great bike.
Anyone looking at great value at R139k ... go buy the tiger ... or even better ... get yourself a second hand 1190 ... if you can find one.
