2015 R1200GSA new owner - Givi question...
« on: February 12, 2015, 08:58:32 am »
Hi Gents,

This is my 1st post on this forum. - I will still do a proper introduction in the "new members" section.

Tomorrow at 12:00 i pic up the 1st new vehicle ive ever owned - A white R1200GSA from Donford in Cape town - I WONT SLEEP TONIGHT! 8)

I have not ordered the bike with luggage as I intend to look into aftermarket options 1st before i make my choice.

I do have a KAPPA K53 top box which I used on my Firestorm which i would like to secure to the GSA for now.

The box uses the Givi monokey connection and I was hoping to pic a bracket up on the way back from Donford tomorrow.

I would like to know from you guys as to what is the most becoming monokey bracket out there for the new GSA - that is available for purchase in cape town tomorrow afternoon

All my bike research has been on advrider.com so I have no idea what is locally available off the shelf in Cape town.

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance guys.

Jean

Thanks Guys,

On advrider.com I have seen some nice Givi adapter plates from Altrider.

These were for the standard GS though. Is Altrider a brand sold locally?

I have not successfully located a Givi adapter plate for the GSA on a local supplier websites though....

Vendors please advise?

yes, we stock a few of their more in-demand products, such as the ALTRider Hemishpere saddlebags, etc.

Welcome!

Why not consider a Motorradical topbox which fits directly on to the OEM bracket you have on the bike. Those Kappa boxes look horrendous on a GSA!! :peepwall:

EDIT - SORRY ONLY SAW NOW THAT THIS WAS POSTED YEAR AND HALF AGO.... :P
