Respect.  I also did a trip recently and with heavy winds doing more than 500km a day is already tough.  Doing your distances is WOW

Well done.

Thanx for sharing.  An awesome report.

Thanks everyone.

MegaPix, in the 2 weeks leading up to my journey I did a lot of short rides in strong wind. After 100km I was knackered!

Update on oil. During 2 weeks at home plus the ride to Maun, I did at least 3000km. The oil level is just below the "full" line :)

That is good S very good. Might change it sometime between now and 5000 kms. Those singles love fresh oil to live long and happy.

That is good.  My bike had a full "blood transfusion" in the 2 weeks on the road.  Had to check and fill almost every 2nd tank

Well done Heather, it becomes easier now that you know you can do it.

Next is to think about what you packed that you don't need on future trips.

Thanks, Buddy.

Oh, I didn't need about 3/4 of the stuff I packed on this trip. Well, I didn't need it for the trip, but I had to get it to Botswana.
Next trip will be the two side bags, a tent, a sleeping bag, and the tank bag. No topbox packed to bursting point!

I did a full service just before the trip , and it was on the full line so maybe 50 to 100ml of usage , that is good going .

Epic trip, epic bike!!!!
I could agree with you! But then we both would be wrong.....

Political Correctness is a doctrine, recently fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end!
