BTW the town between Windhoek and Gobabis is Witvlei and not Witrivier. Lived there for a year and a half.

Yes, yes, yes, I didn't check the oil during fuel stops. Figured it isn't accurate when it's hot.

Yes, yes, yes, I didn't check the oil during fuel stops. Figured it isn't accurate when it's hot.

Would be spoton when hot as it is a "wetsump" even cold it would be spoton.
Would be interesting as your were traveling at highish speeds for long periods of time for the DR.
Think it only takes 2.3 litres of oil.

Client of mine nearly ran his almost brand new KLR dry to Windhoek and back on tar.

Good habit will be to check your oil on such long trips Sardine. Especially us thumper riders.
