Who offers the best deal on a new LC
« on: March 02, 2015, 05:22:53 am »
Im in the market for a new LC 1200GS. Saw on UKGSer that the guys there now get a Nav V free with any LC sold in March. So was wondering, who is offering the best deal in SA?

Who got the best discount/most free extras?

The south african guys offer you nothing.   :(

Give Bradley a call @ clearwater 011 761 3500 or Wouter @ Bavarian 012 643 1680, see if they have deals running.  :thumleft:

No "deals" in SA.

In Europe they do these "deals" during winter months when they are not selling any bikes.

BMW in SA is certainly not big on deals, unless the deal involves them giving you a low trade-in and you buy a new bike at normal retail price.

But, if you really want one, then it is all good  :thumleft:

Also, phone ALL the dealers, as the price difference between dealers can be substantial... Dont ever forget the dealers in the small towns

Kind of them as they lose money on a cash buy.   :ricky:

Indeed!  The top dealers will even allow you two muffins!   :imaposer:

Got a free key holder with both my LC's, yay! Phone John Carr at Donfords in Stellenbosch, he will try and get you the best deal, and an awesome guy to deal with. He arranged my buy back on my 2013LC which I had a problem with at a very fair price! Worth a try. Give us feedback on what you finally agree on, by the way the LC is an awesome bike! Are you going for the quick shifter?

Thanks for all the advice gents.

I phoned around a bit. Generally the best discount on a cash deal was bout 3%. Lyndhurst offered me a few extra bucks off on a bike the dealership bought out as dealer stock just before a resent price increase. Not much better but I suppose every cent counts.

Hope to get it tomorrow. Yhat!!  :laughing4:

Now to start looking at a few farkles:
1. Light protector
2. Crash bar
3. Mounting plate for my trax top box

Any other "essentials" you will recommend?

I have Rockfox crashbars, headlight protector with an orange insert to cover the daytime running light, radiator protector guard and wider foot pegs. Their prices are really good and quality is great. Go and check their website out as they are Cape Town based and can courier up to you. They also have agents in Jhb. This could be an  excuse to ride your bike to Cape Town. Let me know if you need anymore details.
